It
was such a rewarding experience to be associated with people doing
work to help families. It's a real thrill to see a great
professional presenter at work, and you are truly marvelous. Also,
for an hour after class yesterday I briefed a friend (going through
a divorce) on the course contents who found them wonderfully
practical. Thanks, and hope to stay in touch." "Children
in the Middle is one of the most important prevention programs I
have experienced. It has clearly shown me how profoundly
affected children are who get caught in the crossfire of parental
conflict. As an Addiction Specialist I regularly
see the effects of family experiences on the behaviors of young
people and adults. This is truly a crucial and important
topic! Mimi Lupin uses her personal experience and
professional understanding to make this training more of a passion
than just a thought process. I am grateful that I attended
this incredibly useful program training!" Mimi,
I thought that your training was excellent and that a great deal of the
information was new and needed by our attendees. I think that they
had a very productive learning experience and walked away with hands
knowledge that they could utilize immediately. Great job, your
personal commitment is very there. "My wife and I have been providing a parent education program for our local district court for about 18 years. During that time, we made modifications of our program bsed on our experiences, continuing education programs and our readings. We found the program, "Children in the Middle" and felt that this program would compliment our approach. As a result we attended Mimi Lupin's workshop on "Children in the Middle". This program was presented in a professional, personable manner. The program fully met our needs in preparing us to implement, "Children in the Middle". We highly recommend this workshop."

Training for Children in the MiddleSaturday, July 18, 2009, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club with Mimi Lupin, M.A., L.P.C., L.S.S.P. National Trainer for Children in the Middle
A SAMSHA Model Program whose time has come! Fifty-seven percent of children in the classroom have divorcing parents and their hearts are hurting. When children’s hearts are hurting, they do not easily learn, creating current and future emotional and behavioral problems. Children caught in the middle of their parents conflicts may be experiencing any of the following signs:
Children don’t easily talk about their parents’ divorce. What can parents do to protect their children and help themselves as well during this difficult time? Come and learn how to help these children come to terms with their parents’ divorce. Early identification and intervention of the root of these problems is essential as they can linger for years if not dealt with as they occur. This workshop will give parents ways to reconnect with their children and help alleviate many of the problems that divorcing parents get caught up in, and in so doing, strenthen their relationship with their children. The training is not a lecture format but is highly interactive, teaches concepts in small groups, allows for discussion of issues and gives parents five concrete ways that can help children of divorce. These concepts are presented in a way that parents will always remember. Make check payable to Mimi Lupin, P. O. Box 20345 Hot Springs, Ar. 71903. $50 by June 30, after June 30, $60.
