Swimming with the Dolphins

Children and teens can be affected all their lives by their parents divorce depending upon how the parents' handle it.  They are often caught in the middle of loyalty conflicts, frequently witness arguments that are distressing, are asked to carry messages and hear put downs of the other parent.  Sometimes they  lose touch with one parent and may feel abandoned and suffer with low self esteem. As a result, these children/teens often have a great difficulty during this period of their lives.  If helped at this time of their lives, major problems can often be avoided.

The CD Swimming with the Dolphins, is a creative visualization, using relaxation, imagery, soothing sound effects and a experience in the imagination that offers love and hope to children and teens whose parents are divorced.

Divorce is an extremely difficult time for divorcing parents and particularly so for children and teens who feel that have no say in the matter. Swimming with the Dolphins can help your child or teen deal with the many feelings that arise during this time, gives information to young people that parents may not be able to give, acknowledges feelings of insecurity and helplessness  and helps begin the healing process.  This particular time in a child's life is often so stressful that it produces anxiety, behavior problems, anger and are sometimes misdiagnosed as being ADHD.

The first track of the track offers a simple relaxation exercise to reduce anxiety that can interfere with your child's emotional well being, personal relationships, grades and other aspects of life.

The second track is the creative visualization of a trip to the beach with appropriate sound effects of waves, dolphin sounds and relaxing music  and the healing encounter with the dolphins. The dolphins encourage the listener to first communicate to them their deepest fears and feelings. The listener is then invited to engage in a  conversation with the dolphins who communicate understanding, love and hope for the future which can help  heal a broken heart.

The  third track is a sound track of gentle waves that the listener can enjoy after listening to the visualization for a short time. Parents and counselors use this program to help children and teens  heal from divorce. The enclosed booklet offer specific help for parents on how to make this traumatic time a little easier for their children and this trip in the imagination with the dolphins will help the healing that is so needed for these youngsters.  This CD is available as a download or can be ordered using the following link: Swimming with the Dolphins.

Swimming with the Dolphins is an excellent resource for parents, counselors and therapists to use with children whose lives are touched by divorce. The CD gently and lovingly guides the child through a healing visualization with a family of wise and caring dolphins.  Once familiar with the process, children can independently use this resource to promote their own healing.  Highly recommended!

Swimming with the Dolphins is a powerful tool for healing. The relaxation exercises prepares the listener to be able to hear the healing message of hope. Using the listener's own imagination helps  internalize the words that are being spoken. Using the visual imagery and being able to swim in an ocean of love and caring with the playful dolphins creates a wonderful "time out" from the anxiety children and teens of divorce are experiencing.  The message of hope that SWTD imparts certainly will impact against the helplessness and sadness that these children, teens and parenting are feelings.  I highly recommend this CD to parents, school counselors, pastors and all who work with these troubled ones.
